2011 All Around Horse - A Special Dee Sock - Elizabeth A. Widmar
A Special Dee Sock - "Sam" - and I have completed our eighth year together in 2011, and and for the third year in a row, we have been the WQHA Open All Around team. He has achieved lifetime points in Halter, Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Horsemanship, Equitation, Pleasure Driving, Western Riding, Trail, and Hunter Hack in both Amateur and Open Divisions. He has achieved his Open/Amateur Halter ROM's, Open/Amateur Performance ROM's, Open/Amateur Championships, Open All Around Superior, and Open Trail Superior. Sam and I have also achieved Amateur Superiors in Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Equitation, Trail and All Around. Our biggest accomplishment by far has been completing our AQHA Amateur Versatility. This entails earning 65 points in 8 events: 10 points in each of 5 events and 5 points each in 3 additional events.
My goal for 2012 is to help Sam complete his Superiors in Open/Amateur Western Riding and Open Western Pleasure. I have been very blessed to have had the privilege of an amazing horse and an even more amazing partnership with Sam. He enjoys his show career very much and I look forward to helping him achieve his full potential in the coming season.
